NEW STUDENT SPECIAL: FIRST CLASS IS $15

Welcome to Your Surya

Surya means 'sun' on Sanskrit; your sun, your source of energy, your safe space; where you can explore your inner self through the teachings of Yoga.

Our mission is finding internal connection and compassion to oneself and all living beings in order to feel free from internal suffering, and to help aid others on this path of finding a deep sense of peace and freedom.

We invite you to approach our classes with curiosity and playfulness, embrace the gift of life and explore the unknown.

Welcome to Your journey.

BOOK CLASS

Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu...
...may all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.

Sharon Gannon (Founder of Jivamukti Yoga)

Hatha Yoga

Slow Flow -
60 minute slow flow class designed to wake up the body, providing the mind with some quiet space before the day commences. Great for new Yogis, who are familiarising with the asanas (yoga poses); and also for the advanced Yogis who are looking to connect, synchronising the breath and movement. Sequences are changed every 3 months, giving our new students of Yoga the opportunity to learn and build confidence before changing the routine. Repetition is important as it allows us to gradually explore deeper what Yoga has to offer, therefore also highly recommended for Intermediate+ students.

Breath & Movement Flow -
90 minutes of bliss; offering meditation, slow-mid flow asana practices bringing you some challenge and full relaxation...preparing your body and mind for what’s to come. Built on the Slow Flow practice, recommended for Intermediate+ students, and Beginner students who are ready for some challenge!
Always remember that this is your practice. Yoga is about listening to your own body and providing what it needs. Ego likes to compete. I welcome you to curiously explore this phenomena in your practice.

Yin Yoga

60 minutes of passive Yoga practice. Typically made up of 6-10 body shapes that target the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice. For this reason, Yin practices hold each poses for longer than a typical Hatha Yoga practice, which is why it is known for bodily nourishment and flexibility improvement, but also calming the nervous system helping you release stress and anxiety. Highly recommended for all ages and all experience levels.

What people are saying

“I’m absolutely loving these classes! Such a relaxing space however challenging at the same time. I can’t wait for the next.” – Kimberley

“I found the class was challenging for me...I am a bit out of Yoga practice, but the sequencing was excellent and the instructions were beautiful and I felt relaxed and focused at the end of shavasana. Loved it.” – Mario

“In 52 years I had never had a yoga class. And to be honest I’m the furthest you can get from a “navel gazer”, having said that I thoroughly enjoyed this class. I have a sneaking suspicion that the teacher (or is that yogi?) makes all the difference and Sandra was fantastic as far as my limited knowledge knows. Would recommend to anyone, especially as she offers a 3 class complimentary service.” – Roxane

“Feeling great after a Fabulous class, really enjoyed it and I know in time I will improve with my flexibility and knowledge. So happy I’ve bought the 10 class pass and looking forward to enjoying more yoga and improving within myself. An awesome 90 minutes that my body knew about but as I said feeling fabulous now.” – Christine

“Excellent. Lovely environment. A challenging class for me.” – Jane

“As someone new to yoga, I've really enjoyed Sandra's classes. The way she teaches is incredibly accessible and welcoming. And what I really appreciate is how she helped me understand how yoga can integrate with other parts of my life." - Scott

“Sandra's keen intuition and instructional skills allow her to attach herself and the participants to the flow of the movement, guided by our breath. At the end of each session I rest in peace and fullness within my relaxed mind-body.”- Takuzo

“I enjoy the combination of poses and breath work in Sandra’s classes. There is always a variation to make a pose more accessible for me, being a beginner of Yoga. I am always looking forward to the next session as I feel renewed afterwards!” - Nick
